Product Overview
R-76 ultrasonic thickness meter is GRAMPUS, a
newly developed intelligent ultrasonic thickness
meter, using the new high performance, low power
microprocessor technology, based on the principle
of ultrasonic measurement, can measure the
thickness of metal and other materials, and can
measure the sound speed of the material. Thickness

Oprational Principle
The thickness measurement of R-76 ultrasonic thickness meter is measured by the ultrasonic pulse
generated by the probe through the coupling agent. A part of the ultrasonic signal is reflected
by the bottom surface of the object. The probe receives the echo reflected by the bottom surface
of the measured body, accurately calculates the round-trip time of the ultrasonic wave, and the
thickness value is calculated according to the following formula, and then the calculation
results are displayed.
Main Functions
1. Suitable for measuring the thickness of metals (such as steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, etc.), plastics,
ceramics, glass, glass fiber and any other ultrasonic good conductors;
2. Can be equipped with a variety of different frequencies, different wafer sizes of the double crystal probe
for use;
3. With the probe zero-point calibration, two-point calibration function, can automatically correct the system
error;
4. The thickness is known to backmeasure the speed of sound to improve the measurement accuracy;
5. With the coupling state prompt function;
6. Measured rate: standard rate 4 times per second, fast rate: 20 times per second;
7. Automatic probe identification: automatically identify the probe in the probe type list on the host manual;
8. Adjust internal parameters and correct V sound range errors;
9. Zero compensation mode: compensate for probe temperature and zero offset;
10. Display the hold / blank mode: after displaying the measured reading, keep the reading or display the blank
on the screen;
11. EL backlight display, easy to use in a dim light environment;
12. It has the residual power indication function, which can display the residual battery power in real time;
13. With automatic sleep, automatic shutdown and other power-saving functions;
14. Small, portable, high reliability, suitable for harsh operating environment, anti-vibration, impact and
electromagnetic interference;
